Overview: The NX Basic Manufacturing (CAM) course is designed to get CNC programmers, new to NX, proficient in the use of NX CAM. This course will direct the users through creation of CNC programs. The student will learn the use of master model in developing programs, as well as how to use non-NX models in program creation. After becoming familiar with the interface and reviewing basic CAM concepts, using tool path visualization and group creation for operations is covered. The student will become familiar with Planar Milling, Drilling and Cavity Milling processes. Finally, the student will acquire knowledge and skills for post-processing, customizing dialogs, and using templates. At the end of this course the user will be able to develop CNC programs for tools that will include everything from 2 axis drilling to full three axis milling.
